I invite your attention to the references cited.
It is to inform that in the reference 15t cited above the Government have issued the Operational Guidelines for the Swarna Andhra-Swachha Andhra Program to promote cleanliness and hygiene across the State under the Swachha Andhra Indicators. The aim is to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of cleanliness activities.
In this connection a video conference has been conducted vide reference2nd and 3rd cited and instructions have already been issued to the District GSWS Incharge Officers. Letter 5th cited certain instructions have been issued to District Collectors in the State on Observing 3rd Saturday of every month as Swachha Andhra Day and Event Day activities to be done by Key Departments and Common activities that can be taken up by all Departments in the Districts. The designated theme for the month of September 2025 is “GREEN AP”.
In view of the above all the District GSWS Incharge Officers, Municipal Commissioners, MPDOs, DLDOs in the state are requested to take necessary action in coordination with concerned Departments and to include the following activities under the common activities on the Event Day i.e., 20th September 2025in all Gram/Ward Secretariats offices and upload the photos, reports in SASA App dynamically.
- To create awareness on Stop Water Stagnation – Stop Mosquito Breeding &preventing the increases risks of waterborne diseases (cholera, typhoid, diarrhoea) and vector-borne diseases (dengue, malaria, chikungunya) through the water bodies.
- Deep cleaning of office premises.
- Dusting and cleaning of office system, printers, file racks, other IT Infrastructure and arranging of files.
- Ensure maintenance of Toilets.
- Ensure to upload photos/reports in SASA app on the event day dynamically.
- Plantation Drives
- Urban & Terrace gardening programs
- Home composting workshops on different types of home composting.
- Mixed inter-cropping methods for better earning for farmers in rural areas
- Increased Green cover in State
- Local climate change by reduced urban heat island effect.
- Home grown Organic produce.
- Mixed cropping yields better returns to armers
